WARNING: If ink gets on
your hands, wash them
thoroughly with soap
and water. If ink gets in
your eyes, flush them
immediately with water.
Note: Shake the
cartridge back and forth
about an inch or two
(5 cm) in each direction.
Do not touch the green
chip on top of the
cartridge.
Maintaining and Transporting the Printer
6. Hold the cartridge horizontally and shake it for about 30 seconds (about
100 times).
7. Hold the cartridge with the arrow pointing toward the printer. Then
insert it into the slot until it clicks into place.
8. Close the ink cover.

Checking Printer Status

Using the control panel, you can check the amount of ink remaining, the
total number of prints, and the status of your maintenance tank(s), and other
information. You can print out a status check or view the printer's status on
the LCD display.
