1. Sensor light
Displays the status of the Auto Take-up Reel Unit.
Light
On
Flashing rapidly
Flashing slowly
Long interval of flashing
Off
2. Auto switch
It automatically winds the roll paper after
printing.
Item Description
Backward It automatically winds the roll
paper with printed surface inside.
Forward It automatically winds the roll
paper with printed surface outside.
Off Do not rewind the roll paper.
3. Manual switch
It manually winds the roll paper after printing.
This mode becomes available when the Auto
switch is Off.
Item Description
Backward It winds the roll paper with printed
surface inside. It becomes faster by
pressing this button for 3 seconds.
Forward It winds the roll paper with printed
surface outside. It becomes faster
by pressing this button for 3
seconds.

It is off.
Winding paper forward
A
Plug the power cord into an outlet, and
make sure the sensor light is on.

Turn on the printer by pressing the
button.
C
Make sure the Auto Take-up Reel Unit icon
is displayed on the LCD panel.
If the icon is not displayed, make sure the
Auto Take-up Reel Unit is connected
properly and the power is on.
D
Set the roll paper.

E
Press the button to select Roll Auto Cut
Off or Roll Auto Cut On
F
Press the button to feed the roll paper.
