Meaning
The temperature inside the projector is too high for some
reason or the outside air temperature is higher than the oper-
ating range. If the problem is inside the projector, check
whether the projector is installed and operating normally,
unplug the projector from the power outlet to cool down the
projector interior and then restart projection. If the air intake
or exhaust vent is blocked, remove the obstacle. If the same
warning occurs again, there may be a malfunction in the
projector. Contact the Canon Customer Support Center.
The lamp does not illuminate. Turn the power off and then
back on and check whether or not the lamp illuminates.
Also, check whether the air intake or exhaust vent is
blocked, and whether the air filter is clogged with dust. The
warning may indicate if the air flow in and out of the projector
is blocked, or if the internal temperature of the projector
rises. If the air filter is clogged, clean or replace the air filter.
(P193, P194) If the lamp does not illuminate, replace it. If the
same warning occurs again, there may be a malfunction in
the lamp drive circuit. Contact the Canon Customer Support
Center.
The lamp cover is open. Unplug the projector from the elec-
trical outlet, then install the lamp cover correctly and turn on
the projector again. If the lamp cover has been installed
properly, there may be a malfunction in the lamp cover
detection switch. Contact the Canon Customer Support
Center.
There may be a malfunction in the cooling fan or another
component. Unplug the projector from the electrical outlet,
then plug it into the outlet and turn on the projector again.
Contact the Canon Customer Support Center if the same
warning occurs again.
Abnormal voltage is applied to some parts in the power sup-
ply or another failure may have occurred. Unplug the projec-
tor from the electrical outlet, then plug it back into the outlet
and turn on the projector again. Contact the Canon Cus-
tomer Support Center if the same warning occurs again.
