Previous QSA support provided a simple query facility in the switch for determining
the status of security attributes enforced on the switch. QSA Rev 2 allows a device to
register to receive RFCNs, so that it can be notified when a security change is made on
the switch or fabric. The registered device can then use QSA to query for the current
security attributes.
Performance enhancements
Firmware 08.01.00 provides significant improvements in nameserver response in
large fabric configurations. When a new zone set configuration is activated or a new
switch is added to the fabric, delays in nameserver responses are dramatically
reduced. This ensures prompt responses to nameserver queries are sent immediately
after applying configuration or zoning modifications.
Documentation released with firmware 08.01.00
To support these products, McDATA Corporation (the product developer) and HP (the
product OEM) provide documentation. The HP documents include all information that
HP has incorporated into the products to date. The McDATA documents include only
basic product information.
