Front Panel
A Disc tray
Insert discs here, label side to the left.
Hint
When you insert a disc into the drive, make
sure that you set the disc inside the two lower
pins. When using the drive horizontally,
make sure that it is under the four pins.
B Eject button
Opens and closes the disc tray.
C Display window
Note
The LCD backlight turns on again when any key
is pressed in stand-alone operation, however, it
remains off in the computer-controlled operation.
The LCD backlight turns on when the USB cable
is disconnected (stand-alone operation mode).
D TIME button
E SYNC (synchronize) button
F INPUT SELECT button
G REC MODE button
H SELECT button
I Busy indicator

K REC (record) button
The blue LCD backlight goes out
automaticaly when:
• 5 minutes have passed without any
operation during the stand-alone
operation.
• 1 minute has passed after the cable
connection during the computer-
controlled operation.
Displays time passed or time remaining.
Activates the synchronized recording.
Selects an input signal to be recorded.
Selects a recording mode.
Selects the mode of the function.
Indicates the drive status.
Lit (green)
• The power is on.
Blinking (greenish orange)
• The drive is accessing the disc, such as
reading, playing or writing.
Off
• The power is off.
Selects a function to be operated.
Starts recording videos.
