SECTION 4

4.1 GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This fireplace is for use on 120 V outlets. The cord has a 3 blade plug (See Figure 3-A). An adapter is available
for connecting three-blade grounded-type plugs to two-slot receptacles (See Figure 3-C). The green grounding
plug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box.
The adapter should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available.

4.2 CONTROL PANEL OPERATING PROCEDURES

Once the unit has been properly connected to a grounded electrical outlet, it is ready to operate.
Note: Ensure the circuit breakers for the power supply are turned on.
Pilot Light for Heater: Pilot light goes on when heater is in use.
Note: The Flame and Heating system are controlled by separate power switches and can work independent
from each other. The Flame system can be on while the Heating element is off and the Heating element
can be on while the Flame system is off. We suggest that you should turn the Flame system and Heating system
on at the same time when you turn on the electrical fireplace.
