REFERENCE

Blank screen

• Maybe the component (VCR, DVD, etc.) connected to the input jacks is not turned on.
• Try another channel, because there may just not be any programming on at that time.
• Cables in back may be disconnected.

TV will not turn on

• Check to make sure it is plugged in, and try the front panel POWER button.
• Check the wall receptacle (and extension cord, if applicable) to make sure it is "live" by plugging in something else.
• Maybe batteries in remote control are "dead." To test, see if the LED lights up when you press a button.
• Maybe remote control is not aimed at remote sensor.

TV turns off while playing

• Electronic protection circuit may have been activated because of a power surge. Wait 30 seconds and then turn on again. If
this happens frequently, the voltage in your house may be abnormally high or low.

Problems with your system password

• If you forget your system password and subscribe to DIRECTV
new one.

Audio recording problems

• When changes are made to the Audio profile settings, the AUDIO output is temporarily muted. Do not change Audio
profile settings while recording.

System Lock-up

• If the system locks up, press the RESET button on the front panel of the TV.

CARE AND CLEANING

CAUTION: Turn OFF your TV before cleaning.
You can clean the TV as required, using a soft lint-free cloth. Be sure to occasionally dust the ventilation slots in the cabinet to
help assure adequate ventilation.
The TV's screen may be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth as well. Take care not to scratch or mar the
screen. If necessary, you may use a cloth dampened with warm water.
Never use strong cleaning agents, such as ammonia-based cleaners, or abrasive powder. These types of
cleaners will damage the TV.
While cleaning do not spray liquid directly on the screen, or allow liquid to run down the screen and inside the TV. Also, avoid
placing drinks, vases, or potted plants with water on top of the TV. This could increase the risk of fire or shock hazard or
damage to the TV.
