    VSC (Variable Speech Control) SYSTEM The VSCfeatureallowsyouto controltheplaybackspeed of the tape while maintaining pitch of the originalre- cording. This feature is most effective with voice (spoken word) recordings and should not be used during the play- back of music. While the tape speed can be varied from 0.85 to 2 times the normal tape speed, VSCwill only func- tion to correct the pitch between the settingsof 1 to 2 of the Tape Speed Control.
