Before Using the Digital Piano

Setting the Volume

When you start playing, adjust the [MASTER VOLUME] control to the most comfortable listening level.
The level
decreases.
CAUTION
• Do not use this instrument at a high volume level for a long period of time, or your hearing may be damaged.

Using Headphones

Connect a pair of headphones to one of the [PHONES] jacks.
Two [PHONES] jacks are provided.
You can connect two sets of standard stereo headphones. (If you are
using only one pair of headphones, you can plug them into either jack.)
The speakers are automatically shut off when a plug is inserted into this
jack.
CAUTION
Do not listen to the instrument at a high volume level through headphones
for a long period of time, or your hearing may be damaged.
Using the headphone hanger (for YDP-161 only)
You can hang the headphones on this instrument. Refer to "Keyboard
Stand Assembly" on page 36 for instructions on installing the headphone
hanger.
NOTICE
Do not hang anything other than the headphones on the hanger.
Otherwise, this instrument or the hanger may be damaged.
