The battery discharges too quickly
Cause
The battery is either too hot or too
cold. In this case the battery indicator
flashes.
You may have an application running
that consumes a great deal of power
due to frequent accessing of the hard
disk or optical drive.
The maximum brightness may have
been set for the screen.
The power-management features
have been deactivated.

Troubleshooting
►
Move the notebook so that its temperature returns to
within the normal range.
►
If the operating time of the battery life is extremely
short, the battery is probably too old. Replace
battery if necessary.
►
Use the mains adapter as frequently as possible.
►
Set the screen somewhat darker with the key Fn
and the key F6 to reduce the power consumption.
Windows XP
►
Check the settings in the BIOS Setup (in the Power
menu) and under Windows (Start - (Settings) - Control
Panel - Power Options), and adjust the parameters.
Windows Vista
►
Check the settings in the BIOS Setup (in the Power
menu) and under Windows (Start - (Settings) - Control
Panel – Mobile PC - Power Options), and adjust the
parameters.
