Configuring the DR4000 System
Settings
This chapter provides procedures for initializing the system, shutting down or
rebooting the system, and managing the system password. The task of
initialization involves configuring and managing your important system
settings.
NOTE:
It is recommended that you use the Initial System Configuration Wizard to
configure your DR4000 system. Changing some of the system settings using the
DR4000 system GUI (bonding, MTU, hostname, IP address, and DNS) can cause
issues with GUI access to the system.

Configuring Networking Settings

You can configure the following networking settings:
Bonding configuration and maximum transmission unit (MTU)
Hostname
DNS settings
IP addressing format/IP address (static IP address or DHCP).
To configure the networking setting (or settings) that you need to change
from those set during system initialization:
1 Select System Configuration Networking.
The Networking page is displayed. This is where you select settings for the
following categories: Bonding, Hostname, IP Address, DNS, or view the
Ethernet port settings (Eth0-Eth3) for the system.
If you need to configure bonding, skip to step 2.
If you need to configure MTU, skip to step 5.
If you need to configure hostname, skip to step 8.
If you need to configure IP addressing, skip to step 11.
If you need to configure DNS, skip to step 14.
