Installing the Cisco ONS 15530
To remove a module from the Cisco ONS 15530 without interrupting system operation, follow these
steps:
Remove all cables from the desired module.

Use a number 1 Philips screwdriver to loosen the module locking lever (see

Step 3
Remove the module by carefully pulling it out of its slot.
Step 4
Reinstall the blank filler module.
Step 5
Place the removed module in a container appropriate for shipping and storage.
Replacing the Fan Assembly
To replace the fan assembly in the Cisco ONS 15530, follow these steps:
Step 1
Open and pull out the cable storage drawer installed immediately beneath the chassis that holds the
system fiber optic cables.
Lock the drawer by pushing the lever down at the back left side of the drawer. (See
