Voice Activation

The VOX setting allows you to adjust the sound sensitivity level, so that
in a quiet environment you can pick up minor sounds, but in a noisier
setting you can choose to have only the loudest sounds transmitted to
the parent unit.

When choosing the VOX level, remember that the most sensitive
setting is at the first bar. This setting allows the most minor sounds
to be transmitted to the parent unit. Adjusting the VOX level to the
last bar will provide the least sensitive monitoring. This might be
useful in a playroom with random and background noises present
during play, versus using the most sensitive setting during naps or
sleeping through the night. When using the VOX feature, VOX will
be displayed at the top of the LCD screen. With VOX at the
minimum setting, a
monitoring occurs without reference to the voice activation.

VOX Setting Suggestions:
• Set at the first bar to closely monitor a quiet sleeper.
• Set to the last bar to detect loud sounds in a noisy environment.
• Set in between for a situation monitoring moderate sound levels.
• Set to the
environment with both audio and video on. With this option, we
recommend using the power supply for both units to avoid
battery usage.
NOTE
The LCD screen on the parent unit will be switched back on when the
sound level of the baby reaches the VOX threshold or when any key on
the parent unit is pressed.
