To display the information of the connected external USB drive:
1. Click the Device tab.
2. Click the External Drive button.
External drive information includes:
 ID
 Status
 Model
DNS-1250-04 and DNS-1250-06 support these external file systems:
 EXT3
 XFS

Configuring an External Drive

To configure an external drive:
1. Click the Device tab.
2. Click the External Drive button.
3. Mouse-over the external drive and click the Settings button.
4. Choose the Write Policy (Write Through or Write Back).
5. Click the Save button.

Formatting an External Drive

To format an external drive:
1. Click the Device tab.
