Select On for trimming the image, or Off for no
trimming.
To trim an image

Set the Image size menu to 720 × 480 (Frame) or
640 × 480 (Frame), 720 × 480 (Field) or 640 × 480
(Field) for the NTSC camera, or 720 × 576
(Frame) or 640 × 480 (Frame), 720 × 576 (Field)
or 640 × 480 (Field) for the PAL camera.

Set the Area setting menu to On, and click Apply.

Click the Area setting.
A still image is displayed.

Click on the still image to specify the trimming
portion.
A red frame that appears when you clicked
indicates the trimming portion.
The trimming portion is determined as shown
below:

To change the trimming portion, click on another
point on the image.
Note
The trimming portion will be in units of 16 × 16
(dots). So, according to the operated area, a portion
may be trimmed in a size different size the specified
one. Also, the trimming size cannot be the smaller
than 160 × 128 (dots).

Click OK at the bottom of the window.
The trimmed image is displayed on the main viewer
page.

Video Mode Selection Section

First, select the output format of the camera image,
MPEG4 or JPEG, from Video mode. The setting items
vary with the selected video mode.
Video mode
Select the output format of the camera imege. MPEG4
or JPEG can be selected.
xWhen MPEG4 is selected
Frame rate
Set the frame rate of the MPEG image.
Selectable values are as follows.
NTSC: Fastest, 15, 10, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 fps
PAL: Fastest, 12, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 fps
The unit is "fps" (frame number sent per a second).
When Fastest is seleted, images are transmitted at the
maximum frame rate (NTSC: Max. 30 fps/PAL: Max.
25 fps) for the connected network.
Bit rate
Set the bit rate of MPEG image transmission for a line.
Selectable values are 64, 128, 256, 384, 512, 768, 1024,
1536 and 2048 kbps.
Note
The selected frame rate and bit rate are a tentative value.
The actual frame rate and bit rate may be different
according to the image size, the shooting scene or the
network condition.
I-picture interval
Set the I-picture inserting interval of MPEG4. I-picture
is the compression data serving the basic point when the
data compressed by MPEG4 is depressed. In the
condition that errors tends to happen, such as the
network environment variation, the distortion of the
image is reduced by selecting a small value. The
selectable values are 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 seconds.
