Before the first use

  • Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
  • Remove all packaging elements and stickers, but not the rating plate.
  • Place the electric food processor on a dry, flat, nonslip surface.
  • We recommend washing all the attachments with warm soap water before the first use.
  • The whip driver should be hand washed in warm soapy water, rinsed and dried to maintain it's luster.
  • The motor base should be only wiped with a damp cloth.
  • All the attachments must be completely dried before they are used in the appliance.

Operation

  • Place the mixer on a clean, stable work surface.
  • Unwind or pull out the power cord.
  • Plug the mains plug into the mains socket just when all the necessary preparations have been made.
  • Familiarize yourself with the motor speed switch, and the rpms of each speed.
  • There are six speed levels that ensure the control of the mixing.
  • In "0" the motor is off.
  • The "p" position means Pulse and provides full power while it is held in position.
  • We recommend starting with a "1" speed and try cautiously other levels.

Overheating Protection

  • The food processor has a safety cut-off switch to protect against overheating. If the motor is overloaded or overheated, the thermal switch will stop the motor.
  • To reset the mixer after an emergency stop, follow these instructions:
    • Remove the plug
    • Turn the knob to zero (0)
    • Wait at least 1 hour to allow the motor to cool completely
    • Turn on the appliance again
    • The function should be available again

Assembly

Drive shaft assembly in the bowl.

  • Introduce the drive shaft into the bottom of the bowl and rotate clockwise.
  • To attach the mixing bowl securely, ensure that it locks into place. Place the bowl on the motor base and rotate counter-clockwise with slight downward pressure. You will hear and feel it click into place.
  • Make sure the bowl is correctly placed before using the appliance.
  • The wire whips are best used for:
    • light dough without pieces like waffles
    • creaming soft butter, cream, whipped egg whites
  • The wire whips attach to the whip driver. Make sure they are securely set. This whip driver fits down over the bowl drive shaft. Prove everything fits correctly before starting the motor.
  • Switch to the dough hook when adding flour nuts, chocolate chips, raisins and other hard items to your dough.

Assembly of the wire whips

  • The wire whips attach to thewhip driver. Make sure they are securely set. This whip driver fits down over the bowl drive shaft. Prove everything fits correctly before starting the motor.
  • As attachment for the wire whips you can use thebowl scraper.

Assembly of the scraper

  • The curved blade attaches to the short arm of the driver and scrapes the centre column.
  • The straight blade attaches to the longer arm of the driver and scrapes the outer wall to scrape the batter in the direction of the wire whips.
  • Each scraper blade only fits into the proper driver tab.
  • Once the scrapers are correctly set, they will be ready to be used.

Using the bowl scraper:

  • To attach thebowl scraper: put the driver over the whip driver. Make sure both clips are fully latched.
  • To remove the bowl scraper, simply release the two clips and pull it free. The scrapers may come off of the driver. Simply assembly again. To avoid a come off, rotate the driver shaft of the scraper lightly against the driver of the wire whips.
  • The bowl scraper is designed to be used only with the wire whips. The use together with the dough hook is not possible or necessary, since the dough hook already brings the batter itself to the middle.

Assembly the dough hook

  • Thedough hook is very effective for kneading heavy doughs like loaf batch or for mixing ingredients like chocolate chips or fruits chunks.
  • When using the dough hook, set the maximum speed to level 2-3.
  • Put the dough hook on the drive shaft and rotate it clock-wise until it is properly seated on the drive shaft.
  • Do not use the appliance without cover. This prevents splashing at the beginning of mixing and helps prevent accidental contact with moving parts.

  • Do not overload the mixer! The bowl should not be completely full. When making heavy or stiff dough, certain mobility is necessary.

Cleaning

  • Remove the attachments from the mixer before washing.
  • We recommend washing all the parts per hand to avoid plastic softening.
  • The mixing bowl, (without the drive shaft), the cover and the wire whips (without driver) are dishwasher safe.
  • The drive shaft must be removed from the bowl. In order to do this, rotate the drive shaft counter-clockwise and pull firmly upwards.
    Cleaning
  • After cleaning, insert the holder back into the bowl and lock it by turning it clockwise.
  • Always remove the wire whips from the holder and wash each part separately.
  • The metal whip driver should be hand washed to maintain it's luster. Most dishwasher detergents will dull or oxidize the aluminium alloy of the driver.
  • For easy cleaning of the lid, rotate the sliding lid clockwise until the notch on the sliding lid lines up with the hole in the cover. Lift the sliding lid straight up to separate the two pieces. To re-connect align the center notch of the sliding lid with the hole in the cover and the sliding lid will drop easily into place.

After the cleaning:

  • Before setting the bowl on the motor base again, make sure everything is well dried.
  • The motor base should be cleaned using a soft, damp cloth.
  • Avoid the use of hard cleansers.
