Brake Pad Wear Inspection
Unscrew the bolts [A] and remove the pad spring [B]
(Front Brake Caliper)
Unscrew the bolts [A] and remove the caliper [B] (Rear
Check the lining thickness [A] of the pads in each caliper.
If the lining thickness of either pad is less than the service
limit [B], replace both pads in the caliper as a set (see
Pad Lining Thickness
4.0 mm (0.157 in.)
7.5 mm (0.295 in.)
1 mm (0.04 in.)
Install the pad spring or caliper.
Tighten the bolts.
Torque - Front Brake Pad Spring Bolts: 2.9 N·m (0.30 kgf·m,
Rear Caliper Mounting Bolts: 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m,
Brake Hose and Connection Inspection
Inspect the brake hose and fittings for deterioration,
cracks and signs of leakage.
The high pressure inside the brake line can cause fluid to
leak [A] or the hose to burst if the line is not properly main-
tained. Bend and twist the rubber hose while examining
