K II Enterprises PET-AGREE Manual

Introduction

The PET-AGREE is a hand held device to assist in training and conditioning a pet dog or cat. The PET-AGREE emits a harmless, humane high frequency sound, clearly audible to dogs and cats but barely perceptible to humans. This sound helps emphasize verbal commands to improve a pets response or can be used as a stimulus alone to initiate a conditioned response or interrupt improper behavior. The PET-AGREE alone does not induce proper behavior and the best results occur when used in conjunction with proper, proven, effective training techniques.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Point the PET-AGREE toward the pet from a distance of about 5 feet up to 20 feet away.
  2. Press the button for 1 or 2 seconds while giving the desired verbal command.
  3. Repeat as necessary until the pet responds to your command as desired.

USES

Training: The PET-AGREE can help emphasize verbal commands to sit, heel, stay, come, quiet, stay down or any other trained response for your pet. PET-AGREE may also be used as the signal for a trained response such as calling back your dog from a long distance.
Behavior Modification: The PET-AGREE can reinforce corrective commands to keep a pet off the furniture, stop jumping up on people, stop excessive barking or caterwauling, stay out an area or stop clawing, biting, scratching and chewing.
Protection: The PET-AGREE can also be used to keep stray or unleashed dogs from approaching.

  1. Point the PET-AGREE toward the aggressive, approaching animal
  2. Press the button and activate PET-AGREE for 1 to 2 seconds
  3. Repeat as necessary to repel or stop the animal

HELPFUL HINTS

  • Always use positive reinforcement techniques when training with the PET-AGREE.
  • Best results are obtained when the PET-AGREE is pointed in the direction of the pet being trained.
  • Some pets respond instantly, while others may require more time. Be consistent and repetitive.
  • As a pet's response to commands improves the PET-AGREE may be required less frequently.
  • Effectiveness may vary due to each pet's age, temperament, and hearing ability. Deaf pets will not respond.

TESTING THE PET-AGREE

The red light (LED) will light brightly and constantly while the button is depressed indicating that the PET-AGREE is functioning and the battery is good. If the LED does not light, replace the battery with a new 9 Volt Alkaline Battery.

CHANGING THE BATTERY (use only 9 Volt Alkaline Battery!)

  1. Remove the two screws on the bottom of the PET-AGREE.
  2. Lift off the top of case and gently pullAlkaline Battery away from terminals.
  3. Insert a newAlkaline Battery, insuring proper terminal alignment (see picture).
  4. Replace case top and screws insuring the red light (LED) is visible through the hole in top of case.

Do Not Touch the Silver Disc on Front of the PETAGREE!
Denting or damaging the silver disc can cause the PET-AGREE to malfunction and void the warranty. The PET-AGREE is designed as a training aid for dogs and cats only.
The PET-AGREE should not be directed at humans or used for other than its intended design. Children should not use the PET-AGREE without adult supervision.
