6 Final checks

You should now be finished with the GAH display panel, which
should now be functional, once power is provided.
However, prior to full reassembly and installation, it is advised
to check that no mistakes have been made, particularly during
rewiring.
These tests highlight any mistakes that may have been made in
rewiring.
The approach is to provide a mV input to the safety barriers
(i.e., the input to the system) at the extreme ends of the mV
Range(s) (ie Zero and Span). Then to check the outputs from the
system i.e.,: display reading, displayed alarms, 4 -20 mA outputs
and relay outputs.
If the outputs are as expected, then the wiring has been
completed successfully.

6 .1 Functional test

1 Connect a DC voltage calibrator to barrier B1.

2 Safely connect mains power to TB1 + TB2 and power up the
GAH display panel.
6 .2 System variety – identification
There are a variety of different gas ranges that can be ordered
that will impact the input mV range. The most common
examples are given in Table 10.
The gas range and mV range information for each system can
be found on the data label of the corresponding sensor panel.
Alternatively, look up the CM30/.../SXX code on each CM30
product label. The SXX code is specific to the gas range being
measured.
Once you have identified your SXX code, use Table 10 to look up
the expected mV and display values for both the zero and span
for each of the three gas ranges.
Contact ABB if your system is not covered in Table 10, or if you
require assistance on finding your zero and span values.
