• Set the write-protect switch to "LOCK".

device" is displayed.
Removing only the Memory Stick
from the PC
You can remove only the Memory Stick while
leaving this unit attached to the PC. When
using a PC operating Windows95/98, perform
the procedure below.
1 Click the PC card icon on the task tray and
then "Stop Standard IDE/ESDI Hard Disk
Controller".
2 Confirm that "You may safely remove this
device" is displayed and then press the eject
button B on this unit.
Removing the Memory Stick from
this unit
Press the eject button B on this unit.
For Proper Operation
•Do not press the eject button strongly. Doing
so may forcibly expel the Memory Stick.
•Do not remove the Memory Stick while
reading or writing data.
•Recorded data may be lost or damaged in the
following situations:
– When you remove the Memory Stick or PC
card adaptor or turn off the connected
machine while reading or writing data.
– When you use this unit in the locations
subject to static electricity or electrical noise.
