AM Loop Antenna
Your
RadioShack lndoor
AM
Loop Antenna helps any
Alvl
radio with
a
built-in
antenna receive AM radio
stations
more clearly
in most listening locations. Great for
areas
where
AM
radio reception
is
weak,
the
antenna's circuitry
works with your AM radio's built-in antenna to
allow
quality
reception
of
strong signals and improved reception
of
weak signals.
Note:
For indoor use only
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Be sure
to
remove the antenna and the supplied antenna
cable before you store or dispose
of
the packing material.
CHOOSING
A
LOCATION
To get
the best peformance from your antenna, place
it
indoors
as close to your Alt/ radio as possible. For
the
best results, make sure the antenna is away from
ob-
structions such as
metal
cabinets or bookshelves.
(High-
er frequencies are noticeably affected by
obstructions.)
Do not place the antenna near
any
metal surface such
as
a refrigerator, a metal door
or
wall,
or a
water pipe hidden
behind
a wall. This greatly reduces the antenna's
ability
to
receive signals.
PREPARATION
You can connect the antenna directly to your A[t/ radio
re-
ceiver or simply place the antenna next to the
radio.
To connect the antenna directly
to an AM
radio, connect
the
supplied antenna cable's1/a-inch (3.5-mm) plug
to
ANT
oUT on the
back of
the
antenna.
Then connect
both
of
the antenna
cable's
wires to
the
receiver's
AN/
antenna
terminals.
