To protect the heaters and the MCB from high in-rush currents on start-up, a suitable soft start device or Herschel APX controller MUST be used where more than 3 x P4, 2 x P6 or more than 1 x P8 (or a combination of heaters exceeding 10kW) are wired to be controlled/turned on at the same time: for instance via a thermostat, PIR or switch. -

The Herschel POWER heater should be firmly and permanently attached using the eyelets on the back and a wire suspension kit (not provided) with a minimum clearance of 125mm (4.9”) between the top surface of the heater and the ceiling. -
