8.1 What to do if...
Problem
The appliance does not op‐
erate.
The appliance is noisy.
The compressor operates
continually.
The compressor does not
start immediately after
pressing the "FROSTMAT‐
IC", or after changing the
temperature.
Door is misaligned or inter‐
feres with ventilation grill.
Door does not open easily.
Side panels of the appliance
are warm.
Possible cause
The appliance is switched
off.
The mains plug is not con‐
nected to the mains socket
correctly.
There is no voltage in the
mains socket.
The appliance is not suppor‐
ted properly.
Temperature is set incorrect‐
ly.
Many food products were
put in at the same time.
The room temperature is too
high.
Food products placed in the
appliance were too warm.
The door is not closed cor‐
rectly.
The FROSTMATIC function
is switched on.
The compressor starts after
a period of time.
The appliance is not level‐
led.
You attempted to re-open
the door immediately after
closing.
This is a normal state
caused by operation of the
heat exchanger.

Solution
Switch on the appliance.
Connect the mains plug to
the mains socket correctly.
Connect a different electrical
appliance to the mains sock‐
et. Contact a qualified elec‐
trician.
Check if the appliance
stands stable.
Refer to "Control Panel"
chapter.
Wait a few hours and then
check the temperature
again.
Refer to "Installation" chap‐
ter.
Allow food products to cool
to room temperature before
storing.
Refer to "Closing the door"
section.
Refer to "FROSTMATIC
function" section.
This is normal, no error has
occurred.
Refer to installation instruc‐
tions.
Wait a few seconds between
closing and re-opening of

Make sure the appliance in‐
stallation is done according
