Cause/Remedy__
Engine speed too slow. Set for 3/4 to full throttle.
Ground speed too fast. Use lower ground speed.
Carburetor not adjusted properly.
Cutting height set too low when mowing tall grass. Cut tall grass
at maximum cutting height during first pass.
Discharge chute jamming with cut grass. Cut grass with
discharge pointing toward previously cut area._
Mower blades, arbors, or pulleys are bent. Check and replace
as necessary.
Mower blades are out of balance. Remove, sharpen and balance
blades (see Normal Care section).
Belt installed incorrectly. See "Mower Belt Replacement"._
Bent or rough pulleys. Repair or replace.
Using incorrect belt. See your dealer.
Arbor drive belt tension too strong. See "Mower Belt Replacement'*.
Idler pulley bracket not properly adjusted. Adjust. See Adjustments section.
Belt stops out of adjustment. Check.
