3. To remove the FDD/HDD connector board,
T
remove two screws followed by the retaining bracket
T
remove two stand offs
T
disengage the FDD/HDD board from the Main board.

Diskette Drive

Remove the Diskette Drive as follows.

Remove the two stand offs
T
Disconnect the ribbon cable at connector CN19 on the Main Board
T
Remove four screws (two from each side of the battery bay housing and
diskette assembly)
T
Remove and save the tape (die cut) that covers the bottom jointing edge of
the hard drive bay and the chassis assembly
T
Lift the Diskette Drive out of the chassis assembly
T
Remove the Diskette Drive from the assembly by removing four screws
