Model ESV308 is similar to model ESV108 but has a digital output for transmitting measurements over a serial line; this output is compatible with the RS232-2 port on E/M-Log data loggers.

    The ESV308 sensor with RS-232 serial output is equipped with a DB9 connector, compatible for connection to serial port 2 of LSI LASTEM data loggers. It is necessary to configure the communication speed of the data logger's serial line to 9600 bps and to use the proprietary CISS protocol.

    The probe does not require any maintenance; only a particular care on probe’s movement is required because of its delicate sensitive element. In case of break of tungsten wire, send the probe to LSI LASTEM for the reparation. If you are in possession of the SPMCA1004 kit and the SVSKA202 cable, you can proceed with the hot-wire head replacement yourself as described in the INSTUM_05564 manual.
