DESCRIPTION:
TimeLine Fostex Serial Interface will allow:
Serial machine control
Track Select from KCU
For the Fostex D-20 to operate correctly, it must be configured as detailed in this installation guide.
PROCEDURE:
1. Lynx modules require the serial interface option. Lynx-2 modules include serial machine control
as standard.
2. Select "Fostex D-20" on the Lynx menu. RMT light will light if machine is communicating, will
flash if not communicating.
3. Initialize the Fostex for RS422 operation as follows:
With the power on and the tape ejected, simultaneously press Z LOC and P LOC. Display will
change to "2nd". Press and hold down the EJECT key, the display will change from "2nd" to "Ed-
XX". Select editor mode, "ED-03" (BVE-900), using the up or down arrow keys. "ED-02" (Lynx),
is NOT used. Release the EJECT key and press the DISP key. The display will return from "2nd" to
OPEn, completing the second level set up.
