Removing a PC Card

insertion. Do not try to force the card all the way in. You may damage the slot,
making it impossible to remove the card.
CAUTION
Do not remove a PC Card while your computer is in the standby or hibernation mode.
When two PC Cards are inserted, perform the following procedure (from Step
3

for each of the two cards.)
Note that the operation of removing the PC Card may not be complete, depending on
the status of the PC Card or device connected to the PC Card, such as when a SCSI
card is used to connect an external hard disk to the computer. In such cases, turn off
the power from [start] menu, then remove the card.

Disable the card function.

Select the PC Card, then select [Stop].

Follow the on-screen instructions.
This step is not necessary under the following conditions.
When removing the card after the computer is turned off
When
is not displayed
When the card to be removed does not appear in the list under step

Press the button (C), and then press the button again.

Slide the PC Card out.

Close the cover until it clicks into place.
