COMBUSTION AIR UNIT
FOR GAS FIREPLACES
COMBUSTION AIR
The Combustion Air Damper or Fresh Air Damper works with
an Intake Air Hood to provide a reliable source of fresh air for
combustion directly to the firebox. This is ideal for fireplaces
not located on or near an exterior wall. This sealed damper
opens when the gas logs are turned on, allowing fresh air to
enter the firebox as needed for combustion. When the logs are
turned off, the damper closes.

HOW IT WORKS
When there is a call for fire, the damper opens and

allows the fire to start. Outside air is channeled through
the ductwork directly into the firebox for combustion air.
When the fire is turned off, the damper closes.
