Description This document is to explain the changes in TV related to the soundbar HAL5023/xx than can be bought as an accessory for xxHFL5x14/xx, xxHFL6x14/xx, xxBFL2x14/xx. The TV will not have the same functionality with any other soundbar as HAL5023/xx.

You can also secure the soundbar with a cable (included). This cable can be connected to the soundbar and can be connected to the VESA screws of the TV. 2. TV software version If the TV is already installed or you plan to install it, you will need to update the TV SW version to TPM181HE_R.205.002.023.001 (EU/AP) or TPM191HN_R.

4. Changes in the professional menu Using the supplied HDMI cable to connect the soundbar to the HDMI ARC input on the supported product (xxHFL5x14, xxHFL6x14, xxBFL2x14), the soundbar will automatically go into a professional mode. More details about this can be found in the ‘Profession mode on the soundbar’ chapter. In the “Professional menu”...

Bluetooth Settings – Bluetooth Guest Access – Bluetooth Audio” to “Soundbar”, the “Bluetooth Audio” will be visible in the dashboard menu. You will also see the device in the source list, here it will be called “HAL5023”. This will replace automatically the “HDMI x” source name and will have a Bluetooth speaker icon.

If you set “Professional settings – Input control – Bluetooth Settings – Bluetooth Guest Access – Bluetooth Audio” to “Off”, the “Bluetooth Audio” will not be shown in the dashboard. This means you will not be able to connect to Bluetooth. Note that also the icon in the source list is different if Bluetooth is disabled.
This can be done by making a Bluetooth connection by going to “Bluetooth Audio” in the menu or to “HAL5023” in the source list. Below screen will be shown.

You can use the arrow keys on the remote to navigate right to go “Next”. If you go to the next step a waiting animation will be shown while setting up the Bluetooth connection. You will see that no device is connected as well as the Bluetooth device name you can search for and PIN code you can connect to.

You can also see 2 icons on the bottom of the screen. The left on, “Screen Off” is to turn the TV screen off so you can stream audio to the soundbar without having the TV display enabled. By pressing any button on the remote control, the display will be enabled again.

Once you are streaming audio from a connect device you will see this on the screen. Depending on the streaming status the message might be different.

7. Soundbar behaviour and reset of the settings Once the soundbar is connected to TV and it’s enabled in the professional setting it will follow the TV behaviour related to standby and wakeup. Also the switch on settings will be applied on the soundbar like “TV speakers”, “Sound Style”...
