Mounting
The Ingersoll Rand Impact
breakage due to vibration exists in the associated piping system. For this purpose, place a
washer between each compressor foot and frame. (Note: This washer is not required for
compressor models IR4C1480 through IR4C2397.) Otherwise the compressor must be
fixed on anti-vibration mountings (Figure 2).
There are two types of anti vibration mountings:
Anti-vibration mounting Type 1
After installation:
Remove the red colored transport locks (1).
Retighten the fixing screws or nuts (2) & (3).
Anti-vibration mounting Type 2
Before transport:
Tighten the self-locking nut (1) until the base plate of the compressor (2) rest on the
guide sleeve (3).
After installation:
Loosen the nut (1) until the slotted washer (4) can be removed.
Remove the slotted washer (4).
Installation and Start-up
