Capacity Control
Four and six cylinder compressors offer integrated capacity control that makes use of the
principle of suction shut-off.
The following combinations are possible:

4-Cylinder
6-Cylinder
8-Cylinder
In full-load operation the solenoid coil is de-energized, and suction gas flows to all cylinders.
The gas ports in the valve plate and cylinder head are open. In part-load operation, the solenoid
is energized, and the suction port in the corresponding cylinder head is shut off, thereby causing
the cylinder bank to run idle, without gas pressure.
