Basic RIP Configuration

Configuration Prerequisites

Before configuring basic RIP functions, perform the following tasks:
Configuring the link layer protocol
Configuring the network layer addresses of interfaces so that adjacent nodes are reachable to
each other at the network layer

Enabling RIP on the interfaces attached to a specified network segment
Follow these steps to enable RIP on the interfaces attached to a specified network segment:
Enter system view
Enable RIP and enter RIP view
Enable RIP on the specified interface
