Cisco Catalyst 3750-E Series Spotlight
Cisco StackWise Plus Technology
A unique stacking architecture optimized for
Gigabit and 10 GBE, this technology is designed to
respond to additions, deletions, and redeployment
while maintaining constant performance. It unites up
to nine individual Cisco Catalyst 3750-E switches
into a single logical unit, using special interconnect
cables and stacking software. Cisco Catalyst
3750-E switches can also be stacked with existing
Catalyst 3750 switches. The stack is managed as a
single switching unit controlled by a master switch
elected from one of the member switches. The
master switch automatically creates and updates
all the switching and routing tables. A working stack
can accept new members or delete old members
without service interruption.
Software Features
Cisco Catalyst 3750-E Series is orderable with two feature sets:
• The IP Base feature set includes advanced QoS, security, and basic routing functionality.
• The IP Services feature set provides a richer set of enterprise-class features, including advanced
hardware-based IP unicast and multicast routing as well as Virtual Route Forwarding (VRF), and
policy-based routing (PBR).
Upgrades
• The IP Advanced Services software license can be purchased separately to enable IPv6 routing.
Simplified Management
Available for the Catalyst 3750-E Series, Cisco Network Assistant is a centralized management application
that simplifies the administration task of Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points. Free of
charge, Cisco Network Assistant provides configuration wizards that greatly simplify the implementation of
converged networks and intelligent network services.

Addition of IP Communications
Cisco Catalyst 3750-E Series PoE models support
Cisco IP phones and Cisco Aironet ® wireless
LAN (WLAN) access points, as well as any IEEE
802.3af–compliant end device. The Catalyst 3750-E
24-port models can support 24 simultaneous
full-powered PoE ports at 15.4 W for maximum
powered device support. The 48-port versions can
deliver the necessary power to support all 48 ports
at 15.4W.
