NEW STYLE VALVE CONFIGURATION The New Style valve configuration is identified by a smaller bonnet nut. The New valve configuration uses Bonnet Repair Kit PN 915062–00. The New valve is generally found on installations after to 2022. 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.
Water from opened drain valves, unions and other connections may be extremely hot. To avoid substantial property damage, serious injury, or death: • Tighten all drain hose connections. • Direct hot water away from all persons. 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.
Remove the U-bolt and slide the actuator off the valve stem and body. Check for any leakage around the new bonnet nut. If any leakage is found, use a wrench to tighten the bonnet nut further using the 2 wrench method. Once the repair is complete and no leaks are visible around the new bonnet nut, proceed to Mounting the Actuator on page 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.
NOTICE DO NOT overtighten the new bonnet nut onto the valve body as this may cause the O-ring to pinch in the valve body and not properly seal causing leakage around the bonnet nut threads. 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.

Once the repair is complete, no leaks are visible around the new bonnet nut and the stem adapter is reinstalled, proceed to Mounting the Actuator on page 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.
Before mounting the Actuator to the ETV valve, manually lower the Actuator as shown in Figure Lower the Manual Tab to place the Actuator in Manual Override mode. Turn the Manual Tab counter-clockwise to drive the threaded shaft to the full lower position. 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.

The U-bolt must also be aligned with the valve groove, as shown in 5. If necessary use the actuator manual tab to Figure adjust the position of the actuator frame and mounting holes to align the U-bolt with the valve body groove. 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.

The actuator may make a grinding noise if the locking nuts are not tightened evenly and resulting in potential damage to the actuator motor. Raise the manual tab on the actuator, returning the actuator to normal operation. 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.
Close the service switch providing power back to the ETV module and the external transformer if applicable. Once power is restored to the actuator it will conduct a self calibration and return back into normal operation. 059308–00 REV. A HEAT-TIMER CORP.

Heat-Timer Corporation shall not be responsible for any maladjustments of any control installed by Heat-Timer Corporation. It is the user’s responsibility to adjust the settings of the control to provide the proper amount of heat or cooling required in the premises and for proper operation of the heating or cooling system.
