  • Page 15 Removing and Replacing HEPA Filters Important: For best performance DO NOT use the vacuum without all filters in place. Note: Never use your vacuum cleaner with a clogged filter. This will cause overheating and can result in early failure of your unit. Note: The HEPA pre-motor filter will stop most of the tiniest dust particles and airborne allergens from re-entering the air you breathe.
  • Page 16 5. The HEPA filter may be “cleaned” by tapping on the edge of a garbage can. Using low pressure compressed air is an ideal way to remove dust from the filter. It is ideal to clean filters outdoors and we HIGHLY recommend to use the compressed air method outdoors. 6.
  • Page 17 Exhaust Filter: 1. Locate the filter cover on the power button side of the main canister. The cover will look like a wheel, but it is only a cover. 2. On the cover you’ll find 3 triangles. The triangle on the cover will need to match up to the solid triangle when locked and the triangle outline when unlocked.
  • Page 18 3. The exhaust filter will have a tab sticking out which you can grab and remove the filter. Once removed, clean and reinstall, or replace with a brand new filter. The majority of dust/dirt is going to be trapped by the pre motor filter and dirt bin, so there should be minimal build up on the exhaust filter as long as the pre motor filter and dirt bin are properly installed.
  • Page 19 Cleaning the Dust Bin 1. After emptying the dustbin contents, locate the three triangles on the front of the dust bin. Grip front and top handles and twist bottom triangle toward the outlined triangle. Add Figure Image 2. When the bottom triangle moves to the outlined triangle and you feel/hear the click, remove the top portion and place on a safe surface.
