Dialing and storing numbers

How to dial

Manual dialing

Press all of the digits of the fax or telephone
number.

Speed Dialing

a
Press SpeedDial.
Or, you can press
press SpeedDial.

Do one of the following:
Press Alphabetical or
Numerical, and then press the
number you want to dial.
Press the 2-digit Speed Dial number
using the dial pad.
Note
If the screen shows Not Registered
when you enter a Speed Dial number it
means a number has not been stored at
this location.

To send a fax, press Send a fax and
go to step d.
d
Press Black Start or Color Start.
The machine scans and sends the fax.

(FAX) and then

Fax Redial

If you are sending a fax manually and the line
is busy, press Hook, Redial/Pause, and then
press Black Start or Color Start to try again.
Redial/Pause only works if you dialed from
the control panel. If you are sending a fax
automatically and the line is busy, the
machine will automatically redial once after
five minutes.

Press Redial/Pause.
b
Press the number you want to redial.
c
Press Send a fax.
d
Press Black Start or Color Start.
Note
In Real Time Transmission the automatic
redial feature does not work when you are
using the scanner glass.
