Two electrophoresis units can be connected to EPS 301 and run with the same programmed method at one time. 2 Safety instructions 2.1 Safety precautions Safety precautions Introduction EPS 301 is powered by mains voltage and handles materials that may be hazardous. Before installing, operating or maintaining the system, you must be aware of the hazards described in this manual. Definitions This user documentation contains safety notices (WARNING, CAUTION, and NOTICE) concerning the safe use of the product. - Page 10 WARNING Always follow these General Precautions to avoid injury when using EPS 301. Avoid condensation by letting the unit equilibrate to ambient temperature when taking EPS 301 from a colder to a warmer envi- ronment. Restart after emergency shutdown or power failure Power failure to EPS 301 will cause the run to stop immediately in an undefined state. Turn on the mains power if EPS 301 is switched off. The program continues when power is resumed. The message -PF- can be removed by pressing any key. No other special actions are needed. -
