e Recording is permissible insofar as copyright or
other rights of third parties are not infringed.
e Recording is only possible with deck 1. During
recording it is advisable not to wind or rewind a
cassette in deck 2.
e For recording only use NORMAL type cassettes
(IEC type I) on which the tabs are not broken out.
This set is NOT suited for recording on CHROME
(IEC II) or METAL (IEC IV) type cassettes.
e Before recording, tighten slack tape with a
pencil, to avoid jamming the deck mechanism.
e The best recording level is automatically set.
Altering the VOLUME and GRAPHIC EQUALIZER
controls will not affect the recording in progress.
e At the very beginning and end of the tape, no
recording will take place during 7 seconds when
the leader passes the recorder heads.
e To prevent the accidental erasure of a recording,
keep the cassette side to be safeguarded in front
of you and break out the left tab. Now, recording
on this side is no longer possible.
To render this safequard ineffective, cover the
aperture with a piece of adhesive tape.
Recording from the radio
e Set the mode selector to RADIO.
— The RADIO indicator will lights up.
e Tune to the desired radio station (see 'Radio
reception").
e Insert a blank cassette in deck 1.
e Press RECORD @ to start recording.
— For brief interruptions, press PAUSE II. To
resume recording press PAUSE II again.
— A whistling sound occuring during AM radio
recordings can be suppressed by setting the
BEAT CUT switch to another position.
e To stop recording, press STOP e OPEN M A.
CASSETTE RECORDER
e Connect the microphone to the KARAOKE socket,
with the volume turned down to avoid noise
disturbance.
e Set the mode selector to the desired position
(TAPE/RADIO OFF or RADIO).
e Insert a blank cassette in deck 1.
e Press RECORD 6 to start recording.
— For brief interruptions, press PAUSE II. To
resume recording press PAUSE П again.
e To stop recording, press STOP • OPEN I A.
— |f you want to monitor your microphone
recording, you can insert headphones in the 43
socket.
Karaoke
e For recording karaoke, connect the microphone to
the KARAOKE socket, with the volume turned
down to avoid noise disturbance.
e Press both STOP + OPEN Ш A keys and insert a
recorded tape into deck 2 and a suitable tape for
recording in deck 1.
e Press PAUSE П and then RECORD € on deck 1.
e To start recording, press PLAY P- on deck 2.
PAUSE Ill on deck 1 is then released.
e By pressing PAUSE IL on deck 1, you can omit
undesired passages while deck 2 continues.
Press PAUSE M to resume recording.
e Using PAUSE II of deck 2, deck 1 will only record
the karaoke signal.
e To stop recording karaoke, press both STOP e
OPEN Ш А keys.
