Using the Graphic Equalizer
® The graphic equalizer enables the low, middle and high frequencies to be boosted or
reduced to change the overall sound as required.
e The three sliding knobs operate around frequencies of 100 Hz, 1 kHz and 10 kHz.
® Slide the knob in the + direction to increase the volume around that frequency and
in the — direction to decrease it.
The graphic equalizer has no effect on the sound being recorded onto a cassette. It
only affects the sound heard in the headphones during playback, radio listening or while
monitoring the sound being recorded.
Using the Radio+ TV
Refer to illustration A on page 4.
® Set the function selector to the ''RADIO'' position. The [OPR] indicator will tight.
© To turn the radio off, set the function selector back to the ''TAPE/RADIO [OFF]'' position.
¢ When you are in a fringe service area of a particular FM station, the stereo program
from that station may be noisy. In such a case, either stretch the headphones cord or
set the FM mode selector to ''FM-MONO"' to reject the noise interference.
Antennas
® The FM-TV antenna is the headphones cord, so keep this cord straight (do not fold it}
and move it until the best FM-TV reception is obtained.
® The AM antenna comes with the unit. Keep the unit vertical and turn it slowly until the
best AM reception is obtained.
