@ Using Batteries
1. Open the lid of the battery compartment by pushing it in the direction of the arrow.
2. Insert two size-AAA (IEC RO3) batteries into the compartment.
Ensure that their polarities are correct.
3. Close the lid.
Press the [PLAY] button. The [OPR] indicator will light if the batteries are OK.
If the indicator is dim or if neither indicator lights, replace both batteries with new
ones.
® If the unit won't be used or if only AC mains power is to be used for a long period
of time, remove the batteries. Otherwise they may leak and cause corrosion.
@ Using AC Mains Power
1. Purchase the optional AC adapter.
2. Plug the adapter into a convenient AC wall outlet.
3. Plug the other end into the [DC IN 3V] jack.
This automatically disconnects any internal batteries.
Caution: The center contact of the [DC IN 3V] jack requires a negative poiarity. Some
AC adapters may supply a positive polarity to this contact and damage the
unit.
Using the Remote Controller
¢ Tape operation can be halted, and audio volume to the headphones controlled using
the remote controller while the main set remains inside a carrying case or bag.
e You can switch the audio between the radioeTV and tape.
