Reverse Mode (Playback)
¢ The front side means the side of the cassette facing the cassette housing lid and the
rear side is the other side.
[AUTO REVERSE] selector
Playback
Automatically stops at the end of the side being
played.
Continues one side after another until manually
stopped.

The front side is played when the green [FWD] indicator is on.
®
The rear side is played when the green [REV] indicator is on.
®
Select the playback direction by pressing [MANUAL]
button.
Auto Stop
The auto stop feature automatically disengages the tape transport and switches off the
unit when the end of the tape is reached in playback and recording mode. Always press
the [STOP] button to disengage the tape transport in fast-forward and rewind modes.
Notes:
¢ The tape will not stop automaticaily if the [AUTO REVERSE] selector is in the
"ON" position or after fast-forwarding or fast-rewinding. Use the [STOP] button.
Only press one tape operation button at a time. If the [PLAY] and[ >» ] or[ <« ] but-
tons are pressed at the same time, the tape will stop (and the batteries may flatten faster).
If two buttons do get pushed together, press the [STOP] button and then the desired
button.

Refer to illustration B on page 4.

To stop the tape, lightly press the [STOP] button. If the [PLAY] button is pressed again
the tape will continue in the same direction.

Set the [ 00 /BEAT] switch to the ''IN'' position to play cassette recorded in Dolby NR.
For others, including those recorded on this recorder, leave this switch in the ''OUT"'
position.
¢ To fast-forward the front side (or fast-rewind the rear side), press the [STOP] button
and then the [ >» ] button.
®
To fast-rewind the front side (or fast-forward the rear side), press the [STOP] button
and then the [ <4 ] button.

The indicating of the [FWD], [REV] indicators during fast-forward and fast-rewindis not
an indication of the direction the tape is moving in.
