and touchscreen control to use features when
the flip is open. In most cases, it does not
include the equivalent joystick control for
using the feature.

smart key
The smart key gives
you another way to do
things. When you
scroll to a menu item,
you can press the
smart key to select it
(instead of pressing in the joystick s).
When the phone flip is closed, you can press
the smart key to open the quick menu and
select items in the flip-closed display. For
more information, see the following section.
flip-closed features
When your phone flip is closed, the display
shows the time and date, and indicates phone
status, incoming calls, and other events. For a
list of phone status indicators, see page 31.
