HAPTER ONFIGURATION OMMANDS
Description
Use the preference command to configure the route preference of RIP.
Use the undo preference command to restore the default preference.
Every routing protocol has its own preference. Its default value is determined by
the specific routing policy. The preference will finally determine the routing
algorithm to obtain the optimal route in the IP routing table. This command can
be used to modify the RIP preference manually.
Example
# Specify the RIP preference as 20.
[3Com-rip] preference 20

reset

RIP view
Parameter

Description
Use the reset command to reset the system configuration parameters of RIP.
When you need to re-configure parameters of RIP, this command can be used to
restore to the default setting.
Example
# Reset the RIP system.
[3Com-rip] reset

undo rip

Parameter
None
Description
Use the rip command to enable the RIP and enter the RIP view.
Use the undo rip command to disable RIP.
By default, the system does not run RIP.
