What to do if, . . .
. . . In spite of adequate
water supply, the water
flows slowly into the ma-
chine?
. . . Large residues of
detergent remain in the
dispenser drawer?
. . . Fabric softener is
not completely dis-
pensed or water remains
in the
compartment?
. . . There is an exces-
sive build-up of foam?
. . . Lime deposits ap-
pear on the drum sur-
face?
Cause . . .
A water inlet filter is
blocked.
The water pressure is
too low.
Detergent used with a
water softener tends to
become sticky.
The dispenser drawer
was not pushed in when
the fabric softener was
being dispensed.
The siphon tube is either
incorrectly positioned or
clogged.
Use only a low-sudsing
detergent at the appro-
priate temperature.
Not enough detergent
has been used.
Problem solving guide
Remedy . . .
Clean the water inlet fil-
ters.
– Clean the filters in the
water inlet system.
– It may help to select
"Water plus".
Pour detergent into the
dispenser before adding
any water softener.
Make sure the drawer is in
all the way.
Clean the siphon tube.
– Follow recommenda-
tions on the package.
– Take the water hardness
into account.
– Use less detergent for
lightly soiled or small
loads.
– Use a decalcifier suit-
able for use in washing
machines. A product
called "Quick" is avail-
able from the Miele
Technical Service Dept.
– Use the correct amount
of detergent for the
water hardness in your
area.
