On/Off
Press Mode button for 3 seconds for On/Off then
release. When switched Off a tone will sound.
Vibration Detection
15 Sensitivity Settings on alarm.
Volume Settings
The volume dial (top right) adjusts the volume of
the alerts on the Vi Alarm.
Tone Settings
The tone dial (top right) (after pressing the mode
button) adjusts the pitch of the alerts on the Vi
Alarm.
Forward Detection
Forward line movement is indicated with a single
tone set by the user with the Tone dial. For each
detection the main indicator LED's will illuminate.
A new detection whilst the LEDs are illuminated
will cause the LED's to blink Off once for each
detection. Once detections have stopped the
LED's will remain illuminated for 10 seconds.
Backward Detection
Backward line movement is indicated with
alternating tones set by the user with the Tone
dial. Single alternating tones will be played
indicating each detection. For each detection
the main indicator LED's will illuminate A new
detection whilst the LEDs are illuminated will cause
the LED's to blink Off once for each detection.
Once detections have stopped the LED's will
remain illuminated for 10 seconds.
Mode Button
A single press of the Mode button (top side
button). Toggle between volume on tone
adjustment. The colour of the LED's indicates
the battery level: Green - Good Battery Level
/ Yellow - OK Battery Level / Red - Low Battery
Level. The LED's will remain illuminated for
approximately 8 seconds. After 30seconds to
control will revert back to volume.
Mute Button
When not in configuration menu, single presses
on the Mute button (Bottom side right) will put
the alarm in to mute. In this state the main LED's
will go white, alerts will still be indicated by the set
indicator colour but no sound will be produced.
After a set time the local mute will expire and
the device will return to normal. A single press will
give a 30 second local mute. A single press whilst
muted will cancel the mute.
Configuration Menu
Holding down the Mode button will cause the
LED's to flash Yellow - Blue - Yellow. Releasing the
Mode button, a tone is played indicating the
device is in configuration menu.
Whilst in the configuration menu the Volume
dial can be adjusted to change the indicator
LED's colour: Off, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow,
Magenta and White.
Whilst in the configuration menu the Tone dial
can be adjusted to change the brightness of the
LED's. Whilst in the configuration menu a press
of the Mute button cycles between the two
vibration detection modes.
One magenta flash and a single bleep enters
vibration with no direction mode. This will
indicate a vibration in any direction with an alert
tone and a momentary blue flash followed by
the selected alert colour on the indicator LED.
Two Magenta flashes and two bleeps enters
vibration mode with hybrid detection. In this
mode the alert will indicate direction when
this can be accurately determined. If there is
insufficient direction information, then a vibration
indication alone will be triggered with an alert
tone and the selected alert colour on the
indicator LED.
Three magenta flashes and three bleeps enters
vibration mode with forwards and backwards
detection. This will indicate a vibration in any
direction with an alert tone and a momentary
blue flash followed by the selected alert colour
on the indicator LED. (When used on the most
sensitive range forwards/ backwards detection
may give false direction information). To exit the
configuration menu press the Mode button. A
tone is played unless the volume is set to OFF.
