2. Fill the Main Wash section with detergent. See "How much detergent to use."
3. Fill the Pre-Wash section, if needed.
4. Close the dispenser cover.
It is normal for the cover to open partially when dispensing detergent.
NOTE: Use both sections for cycles with 2 washes. Use only the main wash
section for cycles with 1 wash, See the "Cycle Selection Charts" for more
details.

How much detergent to use

There are several factors that go into determining how much detergent that you
should use per load. With a little practice you will be able to fine the type and
amount you use to reach your desired results.

Water Hardness

Water hardness varies depending on your source. For the best results, your dish-
washer is designed to operate with water that has a hardness of no more than 7
grains. Test kits are available from all major appliance parts retail outlets. If you
have a hardness over 8 grains, you may consider to install a water softener or
use an additive per load to enhance the performance of your detergent.
Soil level of load
Depending on how much soil is in your load, you may need to adjust the amount
of detergent.
