-RADIO DATA SYSTEM (RDS) ON FM
~ Display of station-name: The set displays the name of the station instead
of its frequency.
- Automatic retuning: When the AF function is activated, the set maintains
the best possible reception. The set continuously checks a list of Alternative
Frequencies (AF) for the tuned radio station and automatically selects the best
frequency for you.

ceives emergency announcements made by the broadcasters using
the RDS
PTY alarm service. (During the message the display shows 'ALARM' and the
station-name alternately).
- The display briefly shows 'AF OFF' and the radio stops checking Alternative
Frequencies.
* To switch on automatic retuning again, briefly press the AF key again (For
versions with CD changer control: Press the AF key for more than 2 seconds}.

Notes
~ "AF ON' or 'AF OFF is stored on each preset. Ifyou store a station on a preset when
AF is switched off, the radio will not check Alternative Frequencies whenever you
select this preset.
