RECORDING FROM TAPE TO TAPE

Wind up the tape to the point where recording will start. (Note
that recording is done only on one side of the tape.)
Use normal (type
I)
or CrOA(type
II)
tapes.
Press the TAPHDECK 1/2 button.
if a tape is inserted
When pressing the TAPE/DECKl/2 button with the power off,
play begins by the direct play function. Press the button to
stop playback.
Inseti the tape to be recorded on into deck 2.
Press the EJECT A mark to open the cassette holder.
Insert the tape with the side to be recorded on facing you and the
exposed side down,
Insert the original tape into deck 1.
Press the EJECT A mark to open the cassette holder and insert
the tape with the exposed side down.
Check if "TAPE 1" is displayed in the display.
If it is not displayed, press the TAPE/DECK 1/2 button.
Press the REC/REC MUTE button to start record-
ing.
Playing and recording starl simultaneously.
When you use the remote control to start recording, first press
the /0 REC/REC MUTE button and then press the <~
button within 2 seconds.
To stop recording
Press the button.
Dolby NR
Regardless of whether the 00 NR indicator is displayed or not, the
Dolby NR system does not affect the recording.
To erase a recording

Insert the tape you want to erase into deck 2.
Press the TAPE/DECK 1/2 button to display TAPE 2.
Wind up the tape to the point where the erasure is to be started.
Set the reverse mode by pressing the REV MODE button.
Press the REC/REC MUTE button to start the erasure.
Sound adjustment during recording
The output volume and tone except BBE (T-BASS, GEQ and DSP)
of the speakers or headphones may be freely varied without
affecting the level of the recording.
Recording with BBE
Sound can be recorded with BBE except when recording with one
of the SYNCHRO DUBBING buttons. When listening to a tape
recorded with BBE, it is recommended that BBE be set to off.
