To operate the Pioneer PD-5100 Compact Disc Player:

1. Confirm Supplied Accessories – Ensure you have the remote control unit, two AAA (RO3) dry cell batteries, and an output cable.

2. Insert Batteries in Remote Control – Place the AAA batteries correctly. If not using for over a month, remove batteries to prevent leakage.

3. Power Connection – Plug the device into a compatible power outlet. If using a multi-voltage model, set the correct voltage.

4. Turn On the Device – Use the power button to switch it on.

5. Load a CD – Open the disc tray, place a compact disc in the tray, and close it.

6. Playback Controls – Use the play, pause, stop, and track selection buttons to operate the player.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance – Wipe with a dry cloth and avoid volatile liquids like benzene or thinner.
